Dim lights are ROMANTIC - Why??

Romantic Restaurants are always dimly lit. It makes us feel free to express our feelings. Science has its reasons everywhere and even here, there is a reason about how the dim lights makes you  romantic.

There is a thick relationship between EYES and HUMAN BEHAVIOUR. Our behaviour, intention and mood can be easily judged by the size of the pupil of our eyes.

The pupil dilates or contracts depending upon the person's attitude and mood. When someone becomes excited, his pupils can dilate up to four times their normal size. Conversely, an angry, negative mood causes the pupils to contract to what are commonly known as ‘beady little eyes’ or ‘snake eyes’.

We know that light conditions affect our eyes. When you see a lightening or a bright light, your pupils contract and conversely when you are in a dimly lit place, your pupils dilate. This is why romantic encounters are often arranged in dimly lit places that causes the pupils to dilate.

Young lovers who look deeply into each other’s eyes unknowingly look for pupil dilation; each becomes excited by the dilation of the other’s pupils. We all use phrases like  ‘She looked daggers at him’, ‘She has big baby eyes’, ‘He has shifty eyes’, ‘She has inviting eyes’, ‘He had that gleam in his eye’ or ‘He gave me the Evil Eye’. When we use these phrases we unwittingly refer to the size of the person’s pupils and to his or her gaze behaviour.
