We know its not safe to stand under trees during lightening storms. What about the safest place?? A Car is the most safest place
The most dangerous place is outdoors. It is better to stay in. But, if you get caught in a lightening storm while playing or walking outdoors you have to be careful. According to physics, Lightening must strike the tallest object, but several times lightening strikes near the tallest post but not the the tallest object.
- When outdoors, the most safe place is inside a Car, Bus or any other vehicle with WINDOWS rolled up. ( This is because of the Faraday's law )
- Enclosed buildings are also safe but not as safe as Metal vehicles.
- Never ever use our Cell Phone. Its very dangerous.
- Never go for a shower or wash hands during lightening ( Water conducts electricity)
- Avoid contact with any kind of Metallic objects like window frames, electrical wiring, telephone wiring etc.
- If the time delay between Lightening and thunder sound is more than 30 seconds, then find a safe place soon.
