Do SEA SHELLS have in-built SPEAKERS??

        Sea Shells found on the Sea shores are hard covers protecting the Soft backbone less SEA ANIMAL present inside. These shells get washed up and are found on the BEACH, after the animal present inside dies. Shells have been used for various purposes. Sea shells were even used as CURRENCY in many ISLANDS.

        These Empty Sea Shells produce some sound which you hear when you hold it near to your EARS. People were confused about from where this SOUND came.

                You should have enjoyed hearing this MUSIC, if not try it you will love it. On hearing it you will say that you hear the sound of WAVES Collapsing and reaching the Shore.If this sound was because of WAVES, then you shouldn't hear it after you step out of the BEACH. But, it does. You hear the same sound no matter where you are.

         This fact made people to Think deeper and finally find the answer. The sound what you hear comes  from your own. The sound of your BLOOD FLOWING through your EARS gets amplified in the SHELL because of its shape. Just compare it with a Speaker. The Cross - Sectional Area goes on increasing as in a SPEAKER.  The answer is not complete yet.

           If the sound was because of BLOOD FLOW. Then the sound must change according to the rate of flow of BLOOD ie. the speed of blood flow. It has been found that people didn't find any difference in the sound when heard before and after doing a HEAVY WORKOUT. So, this answer of blood flow in our ears is not correct.

         The RUSHING sound what you hear is actually because of RESONANCE. It is because of the NOISE of the Surrounding Environment RESONATING within the cavity of the SHELL. You don't have to learn PHYSICS for understanding this. Just cover your EARS with your HANDS, with your Hands shaped like a CUP. You will hear the sound of the OCEAN.

        This SOUND produced by AIR FLOW resembles the sound of the OCEAN because the both AIR and WATER move in the form of WAVES and have similarities in them.
